Spring in Seattle means time outside! Raspberries! Playgrounds! and Yardwork! Oren finally discovered the jeep that he was scared of last summer. He's loving riding it around the block. He also has started asking to take his bike out and insists on doing it by himself. We take walks each morning and Oren loves smelling the rosemary bushes. He points them out and touches every one. He then points out dandelions, mint, tulips, daffodils and rhododendrons. He had his belated two year check up and it looks like he's surpassed his weight curve - we had to make a quick change from whole milk to 2% and then 1%.
He knows the whole alphabet and loves taking the letters out of the Elmo set and putting them back in. He also knows "Row, Row, Row your boat," and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." He absolutely cracks up doing ring around the rosy with us and includes Rugby and Jimmy in it.
Another thing Oren's been very helpful with is touring houses. We've been looking for a new home because, the big news of the spring is we're expecting a new baby! The due date is October 23rd. We spent free time checking out new homes in the Kirkland area which is closer to Hiroko's work. Oren likes to see every room and closet. He also has to check out the view from every window. He's become really enthusiastic about opening and closing doors so our house suddenly has every door closed at all times. Plus, he's now able to open the front door, let Jersey out or walk out himself, open the gate and just leave! Yikes!

Couch time!

Loving his jeep - just when Daddy was ready to get rid of it.
