first dental appointment

This morning Oren was woken up bright and early (and luckily in a good mood!) so that we could rush over the bridge in time for his first dental check up.  At first he seemed excited - there were toys and books and bright colors and people with big smiles waving to him.  Then when the assistant came to get him he became more suspicious but then happy again to be put into a room with more toys!  Ryan and I endured a long lecture about healthy teeth habits  - the most important take home point being DO NOT GO TO THE ER without calling the dentist first (something about long wait, they won't do anything, yada yada, ER docs don't do teeth . . . ) Finally the dentist!  Oren was placed in my lap and went directly into koala mode.  After I pried his little hands off of me he was ready to start crying but like magic he stopped when the dentist starting singing softly to him while brushing and inspecting his teeth.  Then he was just confused.

In conclusion: No cavities!  He did great folks!
