    What a busy month it's been! Spring is here officially and with the clocks set forward the afternoons have become much brighter. The cherry blossoms and daffodils started blooming in the beginning of the month and already the tulips have opened all the way up in Skagit. Yesterday we went to the Tulip festival to walk in the mud and get a closer look. Oren would have loved the mud, but he's been sick all weekend and refused to walk.
     Despite that we took him for a terrific spring hike to Wallace Falls on Saturday. It was packed with weekend hikers, boy scouts, little dogs, big dogs, and he wasn't even the youngest on the trail!
     With Spring here, in the afternoons when we can we've been going to the park where he likes the swings but is also starting to explore the slides. He's becoming more confident in his walking too, holding on with one hand often and when no one's looking, standing up on his own.
