BC

At the end of June we all drove up to Halfmoon Bay on the Sunshine coast, BC to stay with the Inmans at a house on the water with an awesome view of the bay. It seemed so far away yet it only took 6 hours including one border and a ferry ride. Oren did very well on his first time in Canada and just like his daddy admitted nothing at the border crossing.  The six of us went for a hike, we swam in Trout Lake (right before we saw a snake slide in), and even plunged into the chilly Sound water. Oren got his first dip in water, and it was a lake! He had mixed emotions about it but ultimately decided if the family was in the lake, he was too.  We grilled dinner on the deck and watched bald eagles nest and fly by. We shucked fresh oysters. We made s'mores. We had such a relaxing time, it was hard to leave!

After leaving the coast, we headed in to Vancouver for a night. We got a room with a crib and after putting Oren "to sleep" in his stroller, we went out to dinner to a really terrific Italian place. We had an area to ourselves and Oren slept through the whole meal. What a great traveler!

Oren's first time in the water; shock, awe, giggles.

Kiss attack Oren, watch out! :)
