In November, we went to New York to visit our family. The impetus was to help Miwako celebrate her 40th birthday but we also got a chance to meet Benjamin for the first time. Unfortunately, we made it in to experience NYC's first major snow storm of the year and learned how even more challenging it is to push a stroller through the sidewalks of NYC when it is snowing. The following days were cold but nice and we managed to have several cousins events which lead to many photo ops.
Back in Seattle we spent plenty of time outdoors when we could to enjoy the fall foliage. Thanksgiving was a non-event for us as both Hiroko and Ryan worked most of the weekend. We still managed to make a Thanksgiving meal and Naoki got his first taste of how great the holiday foods can be.
