Kauai with O-chan

In the last week of February and beginning of March, we spent 10 days in Kauai. We had a condo through the Kiahuna Plantation in Poipu that gave us ocean views and access to the sandy kids' pool that has a big waterslide as well. Oren was initially hesitant to walk on the sand but he quickly adjusted and before long was walking in the ocean looking for fish. Large sea turtles would swim through and the occasional humpback whale spouted in the distance. Oren even did the big slide at the pool both by himself and with daddy.  It was a very relaxing trip for us all.

Favorite things to say:
"To the Escalator!" (there was no escalator)
"To the Laundrymat!" (as in from Pocket for Corduroy)
"Halellujah, Halellujah...Donuts!!!" (Probably one of L. Cohen's rougher drafts)
"Sho-bo-shah! Eesogay eesogay!" (Firetruck, Fast, Fast!)
and my personal favorite "Deeelicious!" (used to describe everything from soup to peanut butter)
