Oren had a busy holiday season after our trip to NYC. This year he recognized all the Christmas trees everywhere for what they were. He liked looking at all the ornaments and liked our tree as well. We took him to Candy Cane Lane - which we did last year as well - and this year he was able to appreciate all the pretty lights and decorations. We did not really talk about Santa much this year but Oren knew who he was based on the fact that he was everywhere! As far as Oren knows, Santa delivered all of the presents from everyone and put them underneath the tree on Christmas morning. Being that Hannukah started on Christmas eve this year the presents just kept coming! Oren liked lighting the "rosoku" (candles in Japanese) every night because they were soon followed by . . . presents! He is still asking for "rosoku!" every night no matter how many times we tell him that Hannukah is over . . .
