I can't believe it's already been four months (since our last good night's sleep!). We celebrated in a big way by deciding it was time for him to be sleep trained and somehow, miraculously, he agreed. We also gave him his first solid food, Banana. And we set him up in a pink Bumbo as a away of saying "welcome to four months, now sit upright!" If this is to be our style of parenting one day it will be "welcome to a year, now walk!" and then "Happy 18th birthday, now move out!"
We also went to the Pediatrician where Oren received a debatable number of vaccines; around nine. Whatever, he got what he was supposed to get. We received the good news that he's already 26 inches, in the 80th percentile for height. Then we got some disappointing news: he's 2nd-5th percentile for weight. This means either he has an eating problem or we have a feeding problem.
Sooo, since we like him and we want him to get bigger and feed him and for him to keep the food down, we will henceforth be adding avocado to his diet, rice cereal to his bottle feeds, and then as soon as humanly possible, maybe, with permission from Hiroko of course (when she's mostly asleep probably), chocolate fudge brownie sundaes with Reese's Pieces and hot fudge on top -- I mean, more avocado.
Notice on the Carlo scale, he is also holding him for the first time.
Oren's first taste of Banana!
